Will you review our products on your YouTube Channel and Website?

A review on PenultimateDave.com and YouTube is a fantastic opportunity to raise awareness of your product with a large audience of fountain pen enthusiasts from around the world. 

On average, my YouTube video’s are viewed around 50,000 per month, I have over 15,000 unique followers/subscribers across all the major social media platforms and my reviews rank highly in Google.

I specialise both in reviewing and introducing new fountain pen related products to the community as well as existing ones from seasoned manufacturers, distributors and retailers and work with anyone from a small independent pen turner up through retailers, distributors and manufacturers.

Are my reviews fair?

Since 2018, I have built up a very strong reputation for ethics, thoroughness and fairness for all of the products I review, many retailers, distributors and manufacturers recommend my reviews to others and I work largely on recommendations from clients that are happy with my review work. This can help to bring a higher level of awareness to your product and brand from my review.

Please note I try to be fair with all my reviews, if there are quality control issues then these may be mentioned in the review but any negatives are always countered with a positive to provide an honest and fair review and I can provide your feedback in the review if you wish.

What price range of pens, ink or stationery do you review?

I cover all ranges from a small £2 bottle of ink that may cost just a few £/€/$ to high end pens that are in the £6000/€6500/$7000 range and I also review anything fountain pen related including notebooks, cases and accessories. How does the process work?

  1. Get in touch with your review requirements in the contact form below

  2. Send the package to me, if you are sending from outside the UK please ensure that you declare the entire package at under $20/€20 and mark “GIFT” on the customs declaration form. If this is not the case and customs fees are incurred I will have to decline receiving the product and it will be returned back to sender.

  3. My typical review process is around 2 weeks to sit down and record a video review although at busy times this may extend.

  4. Once the review is recorded and edited I will send you a preview copy of the review.

  5. I will make any corrections if I have missed something or made a non-factual comment.

  6. Once the review is signed off, I will provide a scheduled release date.

  7. When the scheduled release date arrives, please feel free to post a link to my review on any of your social media channels or website.

How to Ship Products to me for review

  1. Send the package to me if you are sending from within UK just send via Royal Mail Special Delivery (Insured) or First Class Post (Uninsured)

  2. Send the package to me if you are sending from outside the UK please ensure that you declare the entire package at under $20/€20 and mark “GIFT” on the customs declaration form. If this is not the case and customs fees are incurred I will have to decline receiving the product and it will be returned back to sender.

Return of products

There is a lot of ambiguity around whether products should be returned or not depending on both the reviewer and the sender of product for review.

Firstly I would say, please also bear in mind that a typical review takes around 5 hours of my time to record and edit the video and some reviews can take a lot longer, what you are getting out of this is an honest review that will help market your product and brand.

However, one thing I do not do is request payment for a review!

There are a number of options I work with depending on your needs…

  1. The product is kept by myself to feature in future video comparisons to provide you with a lot more support and product and brand coverage

  2. The product can be returned, please ensure that you are in a situation to either

    1. Offer a courier pick-up service with your preferred courier for a return of the product

      1. The product will then be returned in the state it arrived

    2. Send me the shipping return fees ahead of returning the product to cover for any out of pocket shipping expenses

  3. In some cases I can provide free return of the product to you, this can be if it’s a product already in the UK or if it’s a product I can drop off. If you choose this option then we can discuss prior to sending the product in for review.
